The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals while building a strong long-term relationship. This role involves working closely with students to provide personalized instruction, support, and guidance in various subjects. The Tutor will be responsible for creating engaging lessons and utilizing effective teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes. This position is targeted towards supporting K

• 8th grade level reading and writing, and K-6 math.

This position also has room for growth to a reading specialist position . Sessions are held in client homes/libraries in the Northshore and Everett SD areas and online. This is a W-2 position, and we manage your schedule and provide the materials. All you have to do is plan your lessons, teach them, and update clients on student progress. We take care of the rest. Your time lesson planning and driving between clients is PAID along with mileage reimbursement. Duties

• Develop and implement individualized lessons tailored to each student's needs and learning style, assigning homework as needed.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in reading/writing.
• Utilize provided learning technology and educational resources to enhance the tutoring experience.
• Assess students' progress regularly and adjust instructional methods accordingly.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other educators to ensure a collaborative approach to learning.
• Support students with special education needs by adapting lessons and providing appropriate resources.
• Maintain a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation. Requirements
• 1 year minimum experience in tutoring or teaching.
• A reliable vehicle, valid license, insurance, and smart phone
• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
• Familiarity with learning technology tools that support educational activities, or willingness to learn them.
• Background in special education is highly desirable but not required.
• Experience working with autistic students is highly desirable but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students and parents.
• A passion for education and a commitment to fostering student growth and success.
