If you're passionate about education and ready to make a meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you. About the student 4th grade student The student needs to work with a tutor for support in ELA. The student is a 4th grader attending Weberwood Elementary School. He is currently reading below grade level. He experienced a speech delay when he was younger, which impacted the development of his early reading skills. The student needs support with foundational literacy skills, including sight words, phonics, vocabulary development, reading fluency, and comprehension. The focus should be placed on strengthening these core skills to help him read confidently and understand material at or above his grade level. The goal is for the student to read at or above grade level. The family wants 1 hour sessions 4 times a week, between 10am-1pm, Monday through Thursday. The family is seeking a tutor who can meet at a local business near the corner of Spring Street and Pennsylvania Ave. Qualifications Ideal candidates have prior experience working with elementary students. Ideal candidates will have prior experience teaching elementary ELA. Ideal candidates will have a teaching certification. Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles) Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor. Student Availability
