Academic Tutor

About the Role We are seeking dedicated and caring individuals to join our team in providing a safe, fun, and faith-centered learning environment for school-aged children. As an Academic Tutor, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their academic goals and fostering a genuine love for learning through biblical principles. You will lead a classroom, provide direct instruction using provided curriculum, and mentor students through their daily academic tasks.

Key Responsibilities Academic Support:

Provide one-on-one and small group instruction; assist with homework, projects, and test preparation.

Classroom Leadership:

Lead the classroom environment with a level head, even during stressful times, ensuring it remains well-ordered and positive.

Curriculum Delivery:

Use provided teaching materials and video curriculum to guide students through key concepts.

Communication:

Offer regular, constructive feedback to students and maintain professional communication with parents regarding progress.

Mentorship:

Build meaningful connections with diverse students, recognizing different learning styles and providing mentorship.

Qualifications Required:

Faith First:

A genuine heart for God and a passion for helping students succeed in a Christ-centered environment.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Background:

Must successfully pass a

WV CARES

background check .

Character:

A team player with high integrity, wisdom, and good judgment. Enjoyable to work with.

Skills:

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred:
