Pay range $13.50-16.00/hour
Job Type:
Part-time Job description The Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks and Recreation Authority is accepting applications for Competitive Soccer Referee. Competitive Soccer Referee works with Youth Soccer U10, U12, and U14 leagues. Soccer Referee records game statistics and/or keeps time for youth soccer games and is responsible for officiating in scheduled games and programs sponsored or coordinated by VLPRA. Must be aware of the sports officiating rules and playing guidelines for soccer. Assists with the implementation of all rules, regulations, and policies governing the sports program, and mediate conflicts and official protests in conjunction with the specified VLPRA Supervisor. A moderate level of independent judgment is necessary to be a Competitive Soccer Referee. This position reports to the Youth Athletic Supervisor.
Hours:
These positions will work mainly afternoons and weekends when our programs are taking place.
Qualifications:
Must be a minimum of 17 years old 5 YEARS
OF EXPERIENCE IS
REQUIRED and extensive knowledge of the rules of play standard to soccer and the ability to enforce such rules Ability to establish and maintain effective, harmonious, cooperative, and productive working relationships with other participants including coaches, players, supervisors, and other employees. Must have reliable transportation Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks and Recreation Authority is a drug-free workplace. A pre-employment drug screen, criminal history background investigation, and a Motor Vehicle Report will be conducted.
Responsibilities:
Must attend staff meetings and training Talk with each coach before the game and review any ground rules Make sure all players are in proper uniform and notify coaches if any issues arise Maintain sportsmanlike conduct at all times by being respectful and polite towards attendees, players, and co-workers
Pay:
$13.50 - $16.00 per hour
