PSSG are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team of referees/umpires for adult Softball leagues. We aim to deliver Social Sport Competitions which offer a fun and safe environment for people to play sport; and we're looking for experienced supervisors to help us make that happen. The successful applicant will preferably exhibit the following traits: Reliability Sound communication skills Sound knowledge of rules for Softball/Baseball/Kickball Experience in umpiring Softball/Baseball/Kickball leagues Confidence in decision making in high pressure situations Enthusiastic attitude Officiate softball/kickball games by enforcing rules and ensuring fair play. Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and spectators to maintain a positive environment. Manage conflicts on the field with diplomacy and authority, ensuring a respectful atmosphere. Provide guidance and support to players, fostering their development and love for the game. Collaborate with other umpires to ensure consistent decision-making during games. Applicants should live in the Chicago area and have adequate transport to attend evening shifts at various venues around the city.
