Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant youth sports program as a Youth Sports Official, where your enthusiasm for sports and dedication to youth development will shine! In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for officiating youth soccer and flag football games, ensuring fair play, safety, and fun for all participants. Your energetic presence will motivate young athletes, promote teamwork, and foster a positive sporting environment. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop leadership skills while making a meaningful impact in the community. Duties Officiate youth games with enthusiasm, fairness, and consistency, ensuring adherence to game rules and safety protocols Manage game flow by making accurate calls on fouls, violations, and scoring, maintaining the integrity of the game Communicate clearly with players, coaches, and spectators to promote sportsmanship and resolve conflicts promptly Monitor player behavior to ensure respectful interactions and address any misconduct or disputes effectively Assist in setting up game equipment, verifying team rosters, and maintaining a safe playing environment Provide guidance and encouragement to young athletes to foster confidence and enjoyment in sports participation Complete game reports and record keeping accurately for each match played Qualifications Previous experience or knowledge of officiating Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, coaches, and spectators Ability to manage conflicts calmly and professionally while maintaining control of the game environment Experience working with children or in youth sports settings is highly desirable Demonstrated understanding of sports rules and fair play principles Reliable, energetic, and able to stand for extended periods during games Certification in basic first aid or CPR is a plus but not required This paid position is perfect for individuals who are motivated by fostering teamwork, promoting healthy activity among youth, and developing leadership skills.
