Sports Coverage Worker- Reidsville

HOURS:

10-20 hours/wk. (with Sat availability)

PAY:

starting at $12/hr.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sports Coverage Worker is responsible for all fields or gymnasiums in use by the YMCA during the time the space is occupied for YMCA purposes. In addition, every position in the YMCA of Greensboro is responsible for carrying out our promise to strengthen the foundations of community with focus on Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility while upholding our values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manage department equipment and facilities. Assist in management of sports leagues. Supervise practices, games and all personnel required at each event, including filling in as referee for games when needed. Promote, administer and lead in the development and implementation of youth sports programs and services.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. CPR/AED, First Aid and Blood Borne Pathogen training required upon hire and must remain current throughout employment.
