Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking energetic and dedicated High School Basketball Scouts for both men's and women's teams to join our dynamic sports organization. In this role, you will play a vital part in identifying talented student-athletes, evaluating their skills, and supporting the development of future basketball stars. Your enthusiasm for basketball, strong communication skills, and ability to work effectively with young athletes will drive success in this exciting position. This paid opportunity offers a chance to contribute to the growth of high school basketball programs while honing your scouting and coaching expertise. Duties Observe and evaluate high school basketball games to identify promising male and female athletes with potential for further development Maintain detailed records of player performances, strengths, weaknesses, and overall potential for future recruitment or coaching purposes Collaborate with coaches, athletic directors, and other scouts to share insights and coordinate scouting efforts Provide constructive feedback to players on their skills and areas for improvement in a positive and motivating manner Attend tournaments, league games, and tryouts regularly to ensure comprehensive coverage of local high school basketball talent Assist in organizing scouting reports, player profiles, and highlight reels for prospective athletes Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect among players during all scouting activities Experience Proven experience or strong familiarity with basketball at the high school level or beyond Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with young athletes, coaches, and organizational staff Demonstrated ability in sports coaching or mentoring roles is highly desirable Ability to manage conflicts professionally and foster a positive environment during competitive events Prior experience working with children or adolescents is preferred to ensure understanding of youth development needs Knowledge of basketball rules, strategies, and player evaluation techniques is essential Willingness to travel frequently for game observations and scouting events Join us in shaping the future of high school basketball!
