Part Time (Less than 30 Hours) Job Requirements and Properties Work Onsite Full Time Schedule Part Time Job Description . The City of Keene's Parks and Recreation Department is looking for fun, friendly, energetic workers to join their team of Sports Officials for any or all leagues beginning this Fall! You can have a fun job that allows you to earn a paycheck and make a difference for the people in your community! Leagues tend to be more instructional and friendly rather than super competitive. Pay rate for Scorekeepers is $10/game and $25/game for Referees. Duties for Referees include calling the rules of the game and keeping the games moving in a positive manner. Duties for Scorekeepers include keeping the official scorebook and score clock of all games. Both positions will act as a liaison between the Recreation Department, parents and volunteer coaches as well as help sweep the court/fields in between games of any trash and help return the space used back into playable conditions. Seasonal employment depends on the sport. Soccer runs September-October, Monday-Thursday from 5:30pm-6:30pm. Flag Football runs September-October Wednesdays and Thursdays 5:30pm-6:30pm. Basketball runs November-February, Wednesday & Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Indoor Soccer runs March-April, Monday and Wednesday evenings. The schedules for spring soccer and spring flag football will be determined in the new year. All applicants aged 18 and older are required to pass a Criminal Background Check.
