In this role, you will lead students through engaging training sessions, prepare them for local and national debate competitions, and foster a supportive environment that encourages growth and excellence. Your enthusiasm for debate, education, and working with young learners will help unlock their potential and ignite a passion for effective communication. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive curriculum plans focused on public speaking, debate techniques, argumentation skills, and speech delivery. Conduct engaging coaching sessions that enhance students' speaking abilities, critical thinking, and confidence in front of audiences. Prepare students for debate competitions by teaching them how to research topics, formulate arguments, anticipate counterarguments, and present persuasively. Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, active participation, and collaborative learning among students of diverse backgrounds. Utilize learning technology tools to create interactive lessons, track student progress, and provide constructive feedback. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school administrators to support students' development and address individual learning needs. Stay current with debate trends, educational best practices, and curriculum development strategies to continuously improve coaching methods. Skills Strong background in curriculum development with an ability to tailor lessons for different age groups and skill levels. Experience with learning technology platforms to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement. Proven tutoring or teaching experience in public speaking, debate coaching, or literacy education. Excellent classroom management skills to create an inclusive environment conducive to active learning. Fluency in Mandarin or English is required; proficiency in French or Japanese is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including early childhood education or preschool experience. Knowledge of special education strategies to support diverse learners and promote literacy skills. Exceptional writing skills for lesson planning, speech writing guidance, and providing detailed feedback on student performances.
