Education Tech Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians - 3.7 San Jacinto, CA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Computer operation Working with children Computer hardware Working with students Computers (educational technologies) Classroom Teaching Full Job Description SUMMARY Under the direct supervision of classroom teachers, education technicians provide individualized instruction to students with learning deficiencies. The Education Technicians comply with the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLBA) and the State of California Academic Standards, and perform other duties related to academic achievement as may be assigned. Education Technicians are not allowed to instruct the class in place of the teacher, nor do they copy work during instruction time. Education Technicians are to assist classroom teachers to ensure students are on task with their assigned class work. Education Technicians may also have supervisory duties assigned to them outside of the classroom. The Education Technician should be adequately proficient in the use of technology and must have at least 60 units of college credit.
DUTIES AND RESPONISBILITIES
Although other duties may be assigned, the essential duties include the following: Assist with instructional tasks with guidance from teacher. Perform a variety of routine clerical and record keeping tasks. Assist with activities of students on school grounds. Prepares teaching aids as directed. Sets up and arranges supplies and equipment for student use. Observes and records student behavior and other program data.
EDUCATION A.A.
Degree or 60 units of college credit and/or State of California Instructional Assistant Proficiency Certificate.
EXPERIENCE 1-2
years prior experience or other professional education experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to relate to children and/or adolescents. Ability to work with computer equipment. Ability to apply teaching techniques. Good organizational skills.
