Spec, State Ed Visual Impaired Hillsborough County Public Schools - 3.6 Tampa, FL Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications Teaching Certification Classroom Teaching Teaching Full Job Description The Florida Instructional Materials Center for the Visually Impaired (FIMC-VI) is an Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)-funded state project maintained by the Florida Department of Education Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services. This position requires Florida teacher certification in visual impairments and at least three years teaching experience. Knowledge of and experience teaching a variety of assistive technology (AT) for students with visual impairments is preferred. Candidate will be expected to provide in-person and virtual professional learning on a variety of topics, including compliance, eligibility, and the Expanded Core Curriculum. Candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the AT in FIMC-VI's Loan Library. This is a 12-month, 8-hour day position which includes travel. FIMC-VI is currently located at Monroe Middle School, 4716 W Montgomery Ave, Tampa, FL 33616.
