Experienced Elementary Educators (Ages 7 & Under)
The Learning Academy of Teton Valley Location:
Teton Valley, Idaho (just south of Driggs)
Position Type:
Full-Time The Learning Academy of Teton Valley, established in 2004, is seeking experienced, highly motivated Elementary Educators to join our dedicated team. We are looking for passionate, nurturing, and highly skilled teachers who believe children learn best through meaningful experiences, creative play, strong relationships, and engaging academics. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, creative, and committed to balancing project-based and nature-based learning with a strong academic foundation. They are an excellent communicator, a collaborative team member, and someone who values flexibility, thoughtful planning, and a child-centered approach to education. About The Learning Academy of Teton Valley Founded in 2004, The Learning Academy of Teton Valley is a well-established independent school serving approximately 100 students in beautiful Teton Valley, Idaho. Located just south of Driggs, our school provides a unique learning environment where children are inspired to grow academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively. Our beautiful campus features thoughtfully designed learning spaces, a large play yard, a school farm, and a greenhouse that support hands-on, experiential learning opportunities throughout the year. Position Responsibilities Design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Incorporate project-based and nature-based learning into daily instruction. Foster a warm, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, respected, and inspired. Support students' academic, social, and emotional growth. Collaborate closely with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and interdisciplinary projects. Maintain open, positive, and professional communication with families. Participate actively in school events, team meetings, and professional development. Demonstrate flexibility and a solutions-oriented mindset in a collaborative school setting. Qualifications Degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field. Elementary teaching certification and/or significant elementary teaching experience. Proven success working with young children. Strong understanding of child development and best practices in early elementary education. Experience with project-based learning, outdoor education, experiential learning, or nature-based education preferred. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work effectively within a collaborative teaching team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Passion for inspiring curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
