Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Inspire the next generation of technology leaders by teaching computer literacy and technology skills to junior high students for the 2026-2027 school year. This long-term substitute position is an excellent opportunity to foster digital fluency in an engaging classroom setting, with class sizes kept under 20 students for enriched, personalized learning. The assignment runs from August 17, 2026, to June 2, 2027, with a weekly schedule totaling 33.75 hours onsite.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) required Demonstrated experience teaching computer science or related technology classes Previous experience in high school or junior high school teaching strongly preferred Consistent career history, ideally showing commitment to student development and classroom impact Passion for student-centered instruction, emphasizing growth and engagement over just curriculum delivery
Primary Responsibilities:
Teach general education technology curriculum to 6th-grade students, ensuring content is relevant and accessible Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and curiosity Use innovative teaching methods to develop students' digital literacy, equipping them with essential skills for success Assess student progress regularly, providing actionable feedback and tailored support as needed Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall learning experience at the school
