Description Benefits Description The College of Business and Analytics at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Public Administration program. Employment is for the Fall 2026 with possible employment for ensuing semesters, contingent on performance, programmatic need, and budget availability. The desired areas are Governance, Ethics, and Human Resource Management. This position is represented by SIU Carbondale Non-Tenure Track Faculty Association/IEA-NEA. Actual salary for part-time appointments will be prorated based on the percentage FTE of the appointment. Examples of Duties Teach one course and support and positively contribute to SIU's mission of student success and retention through actions and responsibilities within this role.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in public administration or a related discipline with 5 or more years of professional experience. All applicants must provide evidence of high-quality instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in (1) teaching/training professionals or non-traditional students, (2) teaching the course topics of Governance, Ethics, and Human Resource Management. Applicants who are professionally active in these areas, and plan to continue such activities for the duration of their appointment, are especially encouraged to apply.
