Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Teacher specializing in technical vocational teaching with a focus on Health Assisting for high school students grades 9 through 12. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and prepare students for careers in health-related fields by delivering engaging, hands-on instruction aligned with vocational standards. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for education, a strong background in health sciences, and the ability to foster a positive learning environment that encourages growth, curiosity, and professional development. This position is integral to shaping the future health care workforce by equipping students with essential skills in health assisting and related disciplines. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that integrate health assisting concepts with practical applications, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards and industry best practices Deliver engaging classroom instruction utilizing diverse learning technologies to enhance student understanding of health sciences, anatomy, patient care, and related topics Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement Mentor students by fostering a supportive environment that promotes confidence, professionalism, and ethical standards within health assisting fields Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere conducive to active participation and collaboration Coordinate with school administration and healthcare professionals to incorporate library services, community resources, and real-world experiences into the curriculum Support students' academic advising and career exploration efforts in health sciences while encouraging participation in extracurricular activities such as sports coaching or physical education Qualifications Proven classroom management skills with experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings Strong knowledge of health sciences, anatomy (including trigonometry, geometry, calculus), and related STEM subjects such as medical math and science education. Excellent communication skills for public speaking, instructional delivery, and collaborating with colleagues, students, and parents Familiarity with curriculum development principles using skills and hands on learning practices. Pay:
$110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
