Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated High School Engineering/Manufacturing Teacher to join the CTE department. The ideal candidate will be passionate about educating and inspiring students in the field of engineering and manufacturing, with a strong foundation in STEM subjects. This role involves developing and delivering engaging curriculum, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and preparing students for college and careers in engineering and related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development and Instruction:
oDesign and implement a comprehensive engineering curriculum aligned with state and national standards. oTeach various engineering courses, including introductory and advanced levels, covering topics such as robotics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer-aided design (CAD). oDevelop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. oUtilize project-based learning and real-world applications to make engineering concepts accessible and engaging.
  • Student Engagement and Support:
    oFoster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. oProvide individualized support and feedback to help students achieve their academic and career goals. oGuide students in hands-on projects, experiments, and engineering challenges that enhance their problem-solving skills.
Professional Development and Collaboration:
oStay current with developments in engineering education and integrate new teaching methods and technologies. oCollaborate with colleagues in the STEM department to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives. oParticipate in school meetings, professional development sessions, and contribute to the school's extracurricular engineering programs, such as clubs or competitions. •
Assessment and Reporting:
oEvaluate and assess student progress through tests, quizzes, projects, and other formative and summative assessments. oMaintain accurate and timely records of student performance, attendance, and grades. oCommunicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration regarding student progress and concerns.
