Curriculum Development:
Design and implement lesson plans covering computer science standards, including programming, algorithms, and web technologies (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript). •
Instruction & Technical Skills:
Teach fundamental and advanced topics such as software development, data structures, and computer hardware operations. •
Assessment & Evaluation:
Grade assignments, evaluate student performance on projects, and provide constructive feedback on technical skills. •
Classroom Management:
Maintain a safe and productive learning environment, including managing computer labs and equipment. •
Student Support:
Mentor students, facilitate coding clubs or competitions, and offer extra assistance to those struggling with complex concepts. •
Professional Development:
Stay updated with rapid technological advancements to ensure curriculum relevance. Required Skills and Qualifications • DESE certification in Digital Literacy and Computer Science required. •
Technical Knowledge:
Proficiency in modern programming languages and computer systems. •
Pedagogical Skills:
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to students, with strong classroom management abilities. •
Collaboration:
Working with faculty to integrate technology across the school curriculum. Core Competencies •
