Job Description

The Education Instructor position includes duties as both an instructor and as an assistant to the Director of Education for EHC's education programs (Pre-K to High School, college age, and adults). This role ensures that learning experiences are curriculum aligned, accessible, and impactful for the communities we serve. The Education Instructor collaborates closely with program staff, community partners, and leadership to strengthen the organization's educational offerings and outcomes. The Education Instructor reports to the Director of Education. Some evening or weekend hours may be required for events or workshops.
Responsibilities:
Serving as an instructor, and training instructors other instructors as needed on EHC education programs Coordinating with customers and staff to schedule education events/activities, and preparing and maintaining a master schedule Leading and preparing education program activities and events Developing EHC program activities, and events as requested Creating and maintaining a list of supplies/materials needed for EHC education programs and activities Providing input for planning for the Evergreen Heritage Center site, the education programs and activities to be offered Participating in staff meetings Providing input for marketing materials for education programs Preparing and compiling pre/post -tests and other evaluation tools to measure education program impact Maintaining participation and performance documentation on education program events/activities and report to the president Providing input for education program-related grant applications and reports Developing and conducting workshops, trail tours and trail features and enhancements.
Deliverables include:
An EHC master schedule for each academic year for all EHC education programs A master EHC supply list for each academic year Pre/Post test results, teacher evaluations compilation, and survey documentation results Produce reports for program participation and performance data as well as program/events photos for each academic year Maintain relationship and involvement with environmental education organizations such as MAEOE.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Education Background — Bachelor's degree in Education, (environmental or other science preferred). Experience — 3-5 years of experience in education, program management, and curriculum design, non profit experience a plus Excellent verbal and writing communication skills Experience with Microsoft Office applications Relevant teaching experience Education Programming development experience Strong facilitation and project‑management skills. Ability to analyze data, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across teams.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
