To Be Determined Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned by the Building Principal, Content Supervisor or another Administrator. Teaches subject area according to curriculum guidelines based on Maryland College and Career Readiness Standards, Maryland Skills for Success, and the Maryland Technology required standards. Incorporates a variety of cognitive levels and modalities to help students to meet the outcomes of the Maryland State Technology and Standards for Technological Literacy. Ability to complete curriculum training and ongoing professional development for any course(s) assigned to teach; Ability to complete the International Technology Engineering Educators Associations (ITEEA) training for online curriculum platform and an ability to take part in ongoing professional development for any course(s) assigned to teach; Knowledge of Maryland Technology Education Standards, Standards for Technological and Engineering Literacy (STEL), and Standards for Technological Literacy and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS); Ability to design STEM project-based, problem-based and challenged-based activities including the integration of interdisciplinary components; Knowledge of the Engineering Design Process, Core Technologies, Simple Machines, 3D CAD mechanical drawing software and 3D printing; Knowledge of the safe use of tools, machines, and specialized equipment such as common household tools, cordless drill, etc.; Ability to infuse technology into curriculum as well as utilize an online learning management system for instructional planning and instructional delivery; III. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Current Maryland State Teaching Certificate with endorsement in Technology Education. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional and trade journals, technical procedures, or instructional textbooks and instructional aides. Ability to write reports, detailed lesson plans, and procedure manuals as directed. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of students, administrators and the general public. Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts of basic arithmetic, algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Must have working knowledge of all technology instructional equipment and processes. Pursues training and development opportunities to expand job knowledge. Other Skills and Abilities Ability to motivate others to perform well and give performance feedback. Must have ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multi-cultural education. Other Qualifications Must be dependable. Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent. Arrives to class and meetings on time.
