Biddeford Regional Center of Technology BRCOT is seeking to hire a flexible but well-organized individual who enjoys variety in their daily work. This position is critical to support our students' success and their career goals. This is a 35-hour week, benefits-eligible, school-year-only position.
This position serves several functions:
develops and maintains an understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, abilities, and disabilities; provides academic intervention and support to struggling students; assists with hands-on teaching supervised by an instructor; covers classes when instructor not available; proctors tests; and meets with students in small groups or individually to provide reinforcement of learning material or skills needed to meet grade-level benchmarks; assists the teacher in working with students individually or in small groups to reinforce material and skills as directed by the teacher and related staff members in both school and job settings.
QUALIFICATIONS
:
- Eligible for appropriate Maine Department of Education certification (Ed Tech III
- 027) and CHRC
- Experience in one of the CTE pathways
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred Skills/Abilities/Knowledge + Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form by instructors.
