Job Description

Kids Club Summer Edition Lead Teacher (Temporary - Summer) Dream Centers of Michigan, an affiliated entity of Woodside Bible Church, is seeking passionate and skilled educators to serve as Lead Teachers for our 5-week Kids Club Summer Edition program. This program is designed to enrich the lives of students in grades 1-5 through academic support, creative expression, and social development. The Lead Teacher will oversee a grade-level classroom, delivering engaging instruction while creating a structured, supportive, and positive learning environment. This role also provides leadership to classroom support staff and serves as a key point of contact for families. Key Responsibilities Lead daily classroom instruction in reading and math using the Lavinia RISE curriculum Create a structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment for up to 18 students Provide strong classroom management and proactive behavior support Supervise and direct Assistant Teachers and Student Assistants Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs Track student progress and report outcomes to program leadership Participate in all program activities, including Friday field trips and assemblies Maintain accurate attendance and student accountability Qualifications Valid Michigan Teacher Certification (or certification in progress) Experience teaching elementary-aged students (grades 1-5) Strong classroom leadership and behavior management skills Experience leading or mentoring support staff preferred Passion for youth development and creating positive student experiences Details Summer program - July 6 through August 7) Temporary, full-time, salaried, non-exempt Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM Includes required pre-program training (mid-late June) Please see the job description for additional information.
