Elementary Education Teacher

Park Rapids Area Century School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Education Teacher for Kindergarten to join our team at Century Lower Elementary School. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and engaging learning environment for students in Kindergarten, encouraging their academic, social, and emotional growth. The teacher will implement a dynamic curriculum that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration while adhering to state educational standards. Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning. Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, assignments, and observations. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student learning and address individual needs. Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance the learning experience. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices. Manage classroom behavior and implement effective discipline strategies. Organize and participate in school events, including parent-teacher conferences and community outreach activities. Support students' social and emotional well-being by promoting a positive classroom culture. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field. Valid teaching certification for elementary education in Minnesota. Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes. Strong organizational and time management skills. Passion for education and commitment to student success. Previous teaching experience in an elementary setting is preferred but not required. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Must pass a background check as required by school district policies.
