Adjunct Instructor of Educational Psychology or School Psychology St. Louis, MO Job Details Part-time 13 hours ago Benefits 403(b) Qualifications Accreditation standards (regulatory compliance area) Faculty collaboration Working with graduate students E-learning (training delivery method) Mid-level Online instruction Higher education teaching Full Job Description Hiring Department Educational Psychology and School Psychology, UMSL Job Description The Educational Psychology and School Psychology Programs in the Department of Education Sciences and Professional Programs at the University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL) is continuously seeking qualified candidates for adjunct faculty to teach graduate courses. The Educational Psychology Program at UMSL offers master's and PhD degrees with most of the courses being offered in online formats. The School Psychology Program at UMSL offers a National Association of School Psychologists-approved Educational Specialist (Ed.

S.) degree. Positions vary by semester. Courses may include Child and Adolescent Development;
Life-Span:
Individual and Family Development; Advanced Studies in Child and Adolescent Development; Psychoeducational Differences, Consultation in Schools and Related Settings; Introduction to Educational Statistics; Advanced Quantitative Methods, and more. Adjunct instructors are needed to teach both asynchronously online and evening courses (typically 5:30-8:10pm) on UMSL's campus. Applicants should indicate their availability for in person or online teaching in their materials. Adjuncts are appointed for summer (mid-May to early August), fall (mid-August to mid-December), and spring (mid-January to mid-May) semesters. Appointments are for each semester as needed and are term, non-benefit, non-tenure-accruing positions, with possibility for renewal. Candidate materials will be kept on file as program teaching needs change each term.
Major Responsibilities:
Teach courses that adhere to accreditation standards, as appropriate. Collaborate with department faculty and department chair. Application Materials Application materials should include: (a) Resume/CV, (b) Unofficial Graduate Transcripts, and (c) Teaching Statement teaching reflecting teaching philosophy, descriptions of specific course assignments or lessons that fit with this philosophy, and evidence of teaching effectiveness.
