Job Description

Summary Hamilton Middle School and the Bitterroot Polytech is seeking a passionate Middle School or Secondary Teacher with an understanding of career pathways, work-based learning, and vocational skills. This skilled educator should be committed to fostering a safe, engaging, and hands-on learning environment. This teacher will be responsible for developing and delivering career exploration and readiness lessons and various work-based learning opportunities. Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement cross-curricular projects that enhance student learning.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Stay current with educational trends and technology to continuously improve teaching practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school community through committees and extracurricular activities.
  • Ensure a safe and respectful classroom environment that upholds the values of the school. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in education, Health, Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification/license in the state of Montana.
  • Previous teaching experience at the middle school level is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and innovative lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and tools to enhance learning.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check per School Board policy.
