Job Description

The successful candidate will teach core counseling courses, practicum, and internship, with an emphasis on teaching and advising in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling concentration. The duties and responsibilities of this position also include active participation in the establishment of fieldwork training sites; scholarship initiatives; service involvement (including committee membership, student recruitment, retention, and progression efforts, and professional development); and assisting the program in seeking CACREP accreditation. This is a full-time position that may be considered for in-person or remote work, though preference will be given to candidates who can work on campus. Approximately six weeks per year on campus is required to fulfill university obligations and support the program's residency model. Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Earned doctorate in Counselor Education by position start date, with preference given to applicants with a doctoral degree from a CACREP-accredited program Licensed or licensed-eligible as an LCPC in Montana Experience teaching at the graduate level via distance and/or virtual learning environments Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from diverse communities Professional memberships in counseling organizations relevant to the field Preferred Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Experience teaching a variety of counseling courses Experience supervising students in fieldwork experiences, and cultivating fieldwork sites Experience with curriculum mapping, program evaluation, and CACREP accreditation processes Interest in securing external grant funding commensurate with rank The Successful Candidate Will Special Requirements Physical Demands Typical office and classroom environments.
