POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking educator to teach two courses focused on artificial intelligence and technology engineering and design. The ideal candidate brings both conceptual fluency in AI and a passion for empowering young people to become not just consumers of these technologies — but their innovators, critics, and builders of tomorrow's solutions.
COURSES TAUGHT
  • 2 of the 3 options below per semester to allow for rotation and flexibility.
Artificial Intelligence I Explore artificial intelligence and its impact on society. Utilize artificial intelligence with coding in multiple programming languages. Develop artificial intelligence programs that make use of sensory data, numerical data, and data sets. Gain the knowledge and skills for careers in the Computer Science, IT, and Technology pathways. Entrepreneurship I Conceptualize starting, opening, working for, and operating a small business. Explore feasibility, design thinking, entrepreneurial mindset, and the Lean Canvas Business Model. Investigate channel management, pricing, product/service management, and promotion. Gain the knowledge and skills for careers in entrepreneurship. Technology Engineering and Design Explore how technology is used to solve problems. Demonstrate how to apply basic computer science principles to solve problems. Discover the universal systems model in products and processes society uses every day. Build a scale model of a structure, both physically and digitally, by applying the Engineering Design Process. Gain the knowledge and skills for careers in the Technology Engineering and Design pathway.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and deliver engaging, project-based curriculum across both course areas
  • Introduce students to how AI systems work — including machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision — using accessible, non-technical explanations and demonstrations
  • Facilitate meaningful discussion of the ethical, social, and economic implications of artificial intelligence, and how it should and should not to be used in the education
  • Guide students through real-world AI tools and platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, image generators, recommendation systems) to build practical awareness
  • Coach students in design thinking, problem identification, and market research for AI-powered ideas
  • Support students in developing business plans and pitches for ventures that leverage AI
  • Organize and mentor teams for pitch competitions, innovation showcases, and entrepreneurship challenges
  • Maintain current knowledge of rapidly evolving AI tools, trends, and industry developments
  • Partner with local businesses, startups, and universities to create real-world learning experiences
  • Assess student work through portfolios, projects, and presentations rather than solely traditional testing
  • Differentiate instruction to engage learners of all backgrounds, regardless of prior technology experience
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • Bachelor's degree any of the following: Education; Business; Social Sciences; Science; Technology; Engineering; Math; or a related field
  • Work experience in a related field and willingness to pursue alternate path to certification
  • Demonstrated understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and applications at a conceptual level
  • Ability to explain complex technology topics in clear, accessible language to non-technical audiences
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills Preferred
  • Graduate coursework or degree in Education, Business, Technology, or Innovation
  • Prior experience in business, entrepreneurship, or a startup environment
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Canva AI, or similar platforms
  • Experience with project-based or inquiry-based learning models
  • Full time preferred but willing to consider a part time position
