Elementary Education Teacher 26/27

Elementary Teacher Woodson Branch Nature School Woodson Branch Nature School is looking for an elementary teacher who wants to do this work differently. We are a nature-based school rooted in relationship, real work, and the belief that children grow best when they are known, trusted, and given meaningful things to do. Our days are shaped by the land, by the needs of the group, and by the understanding that learning doesn't happen in neat, predictable boxes. This is not a sit-at-your-desk kind of teaching job. You will be outside most days. You will be guiding projects that don't always go as planned. You will be helping children work through conflict, take responsibility/accountability, and find their place in community. We're looking for someone who is steady, thoughtful, and willing to show up fully. What You'll Be Doing Leading an elementary group through engaging learning that connects academics to real life and nature. Teaching core skills in reading, writing, and math in ways that are responsive and grounded, not scripted. Spending daily time outdoors with students in all seasons.

Supporting children in building independence, problem-solving skills, and social awareness. Holding clear, consistent expectations while leading with respect and remaining calm. Paying close attention to each child's growth and sharing that with families in an honest, thoughtful way through a Whole Child Report Narrative. Working closely with our team to shape and strengthen the program as we go.
