Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Empower the next generation of scientists as a high school Chemistry instructor in a collaborative and supportive educational environment! This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference by delivering engaging curriculum to general education students in a modern high school setting. With a 35-hour workweek, you'll have the opportunity to inspire students' curiosity and critical thinking while sharing your passion for science.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Education, or related field. Valid teaching certification for General Education Science (Chemistry preferred). Previous experience teaching high school Chemistry is strongly preferred. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Ability to design dynamic, inclusive lessons that meet diverse learning needs. Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for working with adolescents.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruct general education Chemistry classes according to established curriculum. Create an interactive and hands-on learning environment that motivates students. Develop, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and laboratory activities. Adapt teaching strategies to support a variety of learning styles and abilities. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance. Collaborate with fellow faculty and participate in professional development.
