FT 10 Month[FT10] Pay Rate Low to mid $70's with benefits Overview Faculty members are primarily teachers and are responsible for the preparation and implementation of assigned courses. Faculty maintain office hours and engage in departmental, divisional, and college-wide activities. They are also required to remain current in their academic fields and in technology and are encouraged to pursue leadership roles within their discipline. Must be able to facilitate student learning and help students in applying theories and principles to the practice of radiologic technology. The incumbent will conduct classes and/or supervise clinical experiences, laboratory skills, and simulations as assigned. The successful candidate will have a commitment to working with a diverse student population, collaborative learning, use new technologies in the classroom, and be able to assume a role in online education. Excellent communication skills are also required, as is an openness to new pedagogies and a willingness to participate in departmental curriculum collaboration and outcome assessment. Candidates invited for an in-person interview will be required to present a teaching demonstration. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Teach a variety of Radiologic Technology courses, including classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction; may also teach selected Health, Exercise Science, or related courses as assigned. Prepare and utilize instructional materials in a variety of formats and employ appropriate, contemporary pedagogical techniques to enhance student comprehension, skill development, and mastery of course content. Incorporate instructional technologies, learning management systems, and library and educational resources to support student learning and knowledge attainment. Prepare, administer, proctor, grade, and post examinations and other assessments in accordance with course requirements and college deadlines. Meet with and assist students regarding comprehension of course content during scheduled office hours and through electronic, virtual, and face-to-face communication. Oversee and supervise students in clinical healthcare settings, including acute care hospitals, ensuring safe, ethical, and effective clinical practice. Collaborate with clinical agency personnel to plan, implement, oversee, and evaluate the clinical education experience and ensure compliance with program, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. Foster and maintain relationships with community agencies to support clinical placements and strengthen clinical education partnerships. Assess and evaluate student learning and clinical competency and participate regularly in course, program, general education, and institutional assessment activities. Plan, implement, and evaluate program outcomes in compliance with applicable state, federal, licensing, and accrediting body standards. Participate in curriculum development and revision, Academic Program Review, articulation agreements, advisory committees, and continuous program improvement initiatives. Orient and support part-time or adjunct faculty regarding course delivery, clinical expectations, and program requirements. Engage in Department, Institute, and College initiatives, shared governance activities, and assessment projects. Participate in college service activities and demonstrate willingness to assist with marketing, recruitment, and promotion of the Radiologic Technology program in collaboration with college departments. Maintain professional competence through ongoing professional development, continuing education, and maintenance of required certifications and licensure. Adhere to all departmental, college, state, and federal policies and regulations, including FERPA, safety protocols, and the handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Treat students fairly, consistently, and ethically, and foster an inclusive and respectful learning environment. Fulfill all responsibilities and obligations outlined in the applicable faculty collective bargaining agreement and institutional policies. Qualifications Minimum Education & Experience Requirements NJ licensure in Radiologic Technology. Master's degree in Radiologic Technology, or a Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology AND a Master's degree in a related field, or an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology AND a Bachelor's degree in a related field PLUS a commitment to attain a Master's degree in a related field within the first three years of employment. Ability to teach Radiologic Technology offerings across the curriculum. Experience in using technology in the classroom and collaborative learning. Evidence of experience in developing, integrating, and evaluating simulation-based activities. Evidence of well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities. Demonstrated willingness to maintain skills as technology changes and to collaborate with colleagues to teach classes in various modalities - face-to-face, online via the College's LMS. Commitment to supporting an inclusive environment on campus. Evidence of respect for and an understanding of people with diverse backgrounds, abilities, and needs. Evidence of understanding about and commitment to the philosophy of a comprehensive community college. Preferred Qualifications College teaching experience. Five years of clinical experience. Evidence of teaching as a prime career focus. Evidence of engagement in a professional organization. Work and/or teaching experience specific to Radiologic Technology skills lab and simulation. Knowledge of Monmouth County and its communities. Instructional schedules are determined by the College, may include evening and Saturday hours, and are subject to change. Local travel may be required.
