1.00 FTE Career and Technical Education Teacher (Animal Science)
Location:
Wayne Technical & Career Center (WTCC) in Williamson, NY
Anticipated Start Date:
September 01, 2026
NOTE:

Learn more about our benefits by clicking here Learn more about our programs by clicking here Learn more about our instructional calendar by clicking here Learn more about our paid holidays by clicking here Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing high-quality instruction to secondary students in a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, high-level of engagement and eagerness to continue to learn and grow; working collaboratively with other teachers and community members to ensure continued learning of relevant skills and authentic application of those skills; supporting students as they develop a strong work ethic, pride in their work and the foundational skills employers have identified; willingness to develop/grow/promote the program to include all learners; and differentiating instruction to ensure all students experience success. Must hold a commitment to promoting equity, practicing cultural responsiveness, and creating inclusive environments. Job Qualifications
Required:
NYS Teacher Certification in Agriculture OR Career & Technical Education certification in Animal Production, Science & Business or Animal Science 7-12 OR the ability to qualify for NYS Certification based on education and experience is required. At least three years of documented experience in the field; well-organized and an excellent communicator; strong interpersonal skills; and belief that all students can succeed with the appropriate support.
Preferred:
Experience with livestock and small animals; NYS Veterinary Technician license.
