Job Description

Posting Number ADJ074P Job Description The Department of Teacher Education in the Dwight Schar College of Education invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Faculty member in Literacy. This position is responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate literacy courses, with a particular emphasis on the Science of Reading and structured literacy practices. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in explicit, systematic phonics instruction and evidence-based literacy practices. The adjunct faculty member will play a key role in preparing future educators to implement effective literacy instruction aligned with current research and best practices. g., Organization, phone number, email) Required Qualifications Master's degree (M.Ed.) in Literacy Education or a closely related field (completed by time of appointment). Minimum of three (3) years of PK-12 classroom teaching experience. Demonstrated training in structured literacy (e.g., LETRS, Heggerty, UFLI, or similar programs). Ability to teach in person during the day. Preferred Qualifications Experience with curriculum development. Experience teaching literacy methods courses at the collegiate level. Experience providing literacy coaching in PK-12 settings.
