Yes The Kramer School of Nursing at Oklahoma City University invites applications for a 12-month, non-tenure track Clinical Instructor or Clinical Assistant Professor position beginning May 2026. Position Summary The successful candidate will contribute to the mission of the Kramer School of Nursing through excellence in teaching, service, and scholarship. This role includes classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical instruction in undergraduate nursing program. Minimum Qualifications Education Terminal degree (PhD, DNP, or related field) preferred Current, unencumbered Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Undergraduate Teaching:
Minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required Professional Experience Minimum of two (2) years full-time equivalent clinical practice as a Registered Nurse prior to initial teaching appointment (in accordance with the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act) Clinical and teaching experience preferred; related professional credentials will be considered Demonstrated knowledge, competence, and certification in the assigned role and population focus, or equivalent qualifications and experience Essential Responsibilities Prepare and deliver course content in alignment with university, school, and accreditation standards Evaluate student learning outcomes, clinical performance, and competencies; maintain accurate records Engage in scholarship that supports the mission of the Kramer School of Nursing and aligns with rank and promotion expectations Participate in service to the university and school, including committee work Support student recruitment, retention, and advising efforts Participate in institutional assessment initiatives Maintain active involvement in professional organizations Adhere to all university and school policies and handbooks Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities Effective leadership, organizational, and time management skills Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English About the Kramer School of Nursing Established in 1981, the Kramer School of Nursing is a leading private nursing school in the region, recognized for excellence across multiple quality measures.
