Job Description

The College of Education at Eastern Oregon University is currently seeking applicants for a part-time adjunct instructor to teach in the Graduate Educational Leadership program, supporting principal licensure preparation.
Candidates should demonstrate:
Commitment to high-quality instruction in graduate-level leadership preparation Expertise in applying research-based practices and technology to support K-12 school leadership and improvement Ability to work effectively with graduate students, faculty, school partners, and program administrators Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills Experience working with diverse student populations, including those facing systemic barriers Knowledge of Foundations of Education, with an emphasis on equity, ethics, and inclusive leadership Understanding of school leadership domains, including instructional leadership, supervision and evaluation, school improvement, and organizational management Ability to foster meaningful relationships and mentorship with candidates in both coursework and clinical practice settings The Graduate Educational Leadership program is aligned with the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC)
Principal License:
Program Standards (OAR 584-430-0100) and prepares candidates for principal licensure (OAR 584-235-0020). The 40-credit program is delivered through a combination of asynchronous coursework and synchronous learning experiences and can be completed in 1-2 years. Instructors play a critical role in supporting candidates through integrated clinical practice experiences totaling a minimum of 300 hours, including collaboration with university supervisors and mentor administrators. Faculty are expected to support candidate development across coursework aligned to key leadership domains, including equity and ethics, school improvement, budget and finance, student success and well-being, instructional leadership, supervision and evaluation, and school operations.
