  • Full-time Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our team as a Middle School Tech Ed Teacher at Central Dauphin School District.
The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore technology, engineering, and design through hands-on learning experiences. This position requires a commitment to fostering a creative and innovative learning environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and district curriculum for technology education. Teach students the principles of technology, engineering, and design, utilizing various tools and resources. Facilitate hands-on projects that promote creativity, collaboration, and technical skills. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology across the curriculum and enhance student learning. Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring that all equipment and materials are used responsibly. Stay current with emerging technologies and educational practices to continuously improve instructional techniques. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities. Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school community through extracurricular activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education, Technology Education, Engineering, or a related field. Valid teaching certification in Technology Education or related area. Experience teaching middle school students preferred. Strong knowledge of technology tools, software, and educational practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and motivate students through innovative teaching methods. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and participate in school initiatives. Hours
