Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply. As a Teacher, you will teach elementary, secondary, or special subjects including
- Preparing course and unit outlines, lesson plans, and individual education plans
- Evaluating and documenting individuals' performance and progress
- Collaborating with treatment team to work toward treatment goals and objectives Minimum QualificationsTeacher 2
- Current New York State Education Department initial certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty. Teacher 3
- Current New York State Education Department permanent/professional certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty. Teacher 4
- Current New York State Education Department permanent/professional certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty and 2 years of post-certification (initial or permanent/professional) teaching experience in that same specialty.
