The instructor will provide hands-on training in AutoCAD fundamentals and intermediate drafting techniques, helping students develop practical skills for professional and personal applications.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver AutoCAD instruction in classroom, online, or hybrid settings. Teach fundamental and intermediate AutoCAD concepts, including: Interface navigation Drawing and editing tools Layers and object properties Dimensioning and annotations Layouts and plotting Basic 2D drafting standards Create lesson plans, assignments, and learning materials. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. Maintain attendance and course records as required. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Stay current with AutoCAD software updates and industry best practices. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching adult education or professional development courses in AutoCAD or related CAD software Strong classroom experience with a passion for engaging diverse learners in technical subjects Knowledge of web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, Java, C++, R, and React Express to support curriculum integration Ability to create detailed lesson plans aligned with industry standards and learner objectives Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire adult learners in a collaborative environment Technical proficiency in AutoCAD software along with a solid understanding of design principles and drafting standards
Preferred:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Design, or a related field. Professional experience using AutoCAD in industry. Experience teaching continuing education, workforce development, or community college courses. Relevant certifications.
Schedule:
Evening and/or weekend classes available. Flexible scheduling based on course offerings.

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
