Description :
The Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in the College of Education at the University of Houston is seeking applications for adjunct teaching positions to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the Special Populations program. We offer a variety of programs, including a Special Populations Minor, Applied Behavior Analysis Minor, M.Ed. in Special Populations, Ed.

D. in Educational Leadership - Special Populations, and accelerated Educational Diagnostician certification. Our offerings also provide pathways to certifications in Initial EC-12 Special Education, Educational Diagnostician, and Behavior Analyst, helping professionals enhance their expertise and qualifications in special education and related fields. Further information about ELPS and its programs is available at: https://www.uh.edu/education/departments/elps/ . Qualifications A doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.

D.) in Special Education, Behavior Analysis, or a related field. A history of successful related experience in the discipline (e.g., experience as a special education teacher, educational diagnostician/school psychologist, behavior analyst, special education coordinator/director, etc.). Competency in assigned course content area(s). A valid certification/license in the area in which they're teaching (e.g., special education teacher, educational diagnostician, BCBA, LSSP, etc.). Five (5) years experience in public schools in special education settings or related clinical settings preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and a clear understanding of adult learning theory (engaging adult students). Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and district partners. Exceptional verbal, written, and electronic communication skills. Required Attachments Please submit a cover letter, current curriculum vitae, and (3) unofficial transcripts.
