Gorman Catholic School announces an opening for a high school Theology teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The qualified candidate will possess the ability to bring the good, the true, and beautiful to life. He/She will have a deep love for Christ and His Church, and the entire Deposit of Faith. He/She will have a sincere desire to teach in a Roman Catholic school and will unite Faith and Reason in his/her instruction. Preference will be given to licensed candidates with a Master's degree and three or more years of teaching experience. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Signing bonuses and relocation expenses are negotiable. Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Catholic School is located in Tyler, TX. Candidates will:

• Demonstrate a love for the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church, and support for the mission of Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Catholic School to form saints and missionaries
• Demonstrate professionalism in a collaborative environment
• Demonstrate strong communication skills
• Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
• Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and assessments
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Utilize technology and other resources to enhance the learning experience
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Must undergo a background check and complete the Ethics and Integrity Program of the Diocese of Tyler, Texas
• Possess or be willing to obtain a valid Texas teaching certificate
