Job Description
Scope of Position To support students in the College for Life program through inclusive, respectful, and student-focused educational services that empower individuals, value diverse experiences, and promote achievement consistent with LC's mission and values. Key Measurable Expectations (KMEs) Collaborate with classroom instructors to support inclusive instruction and positive classroom environments that promote student engagement and success. Actively participate in the implementation of individualized goals and objectives for each student, recognizing and valuing diverse learning needs and abilities. Provide respectful, individualized support services tailored to student needs, which may include reading support, note-taking assistance, and guidance with daily living and academic skills. Support student mobility in a manner that upholds dignity, independence, and safety. Assist students in participating fully in college-sponsored activities, fostering a sense of belonging, community engagement, and personal growth. Communicate regularly and collaboratively with the Program Coordinator regarding student progress, needs, and concerns. Assist the Program Coordinator with promoting the College for Life program and its students within the College and the broader community. Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions High School Diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated experience working with individuals with a disability from culturally diverse backgrounds. Preferred Qualifications Some college coursework preferred.
