Educational Interpreter - Pendleton, SC

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Become a vital support for a student's educational experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a dynamic school setting. This full-time contract role focuses on providing dedicated 1:1 Sign Language Interpretation for a 16-year-old female student in a self-contained classroom. Your work will create opportunities for meaningful participation and academic achievement from August 6, 2026, through May 25, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in K-12 educational environments Ability to facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers, supporting both academic and social engagement Skilled in adapting interpreting styles to a classroom setting without the use of AAC devices Experience working 1:1 with students with unique needs is highly valued Strong organizational skills and a professional, compassionate demeanor Relevant certification (such as EIPA, RID or state credentials), as required

Key Responsibilities:
