Qualifications and Experience:

Current Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) certification/license valid in California EIPA score of 4.0 or higher Experience working with K-12 students preferred Ability to provide accurate, expressive sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpretation Strong commitment to ethical practices and confidentiality Confidence working as part of an educational team and independently

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver one-on-one sign language interpretation for a designated student throughout the school day Adapt interpreting style to classroom content and individual student needs across grade levels K-12 Collaborate with teachers and support staff to support the academic and social growth of the student Maintain professionalism and cultural sensitivity in all interactions Keep accurate daily records of interpreting assignments and student interaction, adhering to school and district policies In this role, you can anticipate a consistent, Monday-Friday schedule in an onsite environment where your skills directly impact student success.
