Superintendent Position Summary The Educational Technology Supervisor leads the implementation of the district's educational technology vision, supporting effective integration of digital tools to enhance teaching, learning, emergency preparation, safety, and district operations. This role combines hands-on technical support with leadership in instructional technology, professional development, staff supervision, and emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence (AI). The Supervisor plays a key role in guiding staff in the use of technology, coordinating training, artificial intelligence, and supporting responsible and innovative use of digital tools. This position contributes to developing and maintaining reliable systems, supporting cybersecurity best practices, and ensuring equitable access to technology resources across the district. This is a working supervisory role that includes responding to and resolving technology support tickets, training staff to build operational redundancy and continuity, supporting emergency response systems and protocols, managing procurement, surplus, project management, and supervising and evaluating technology department employees. Assists with public records requests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Educational Technology Leadership & Vision Support and help lead the district's vision for educational technology aligned with instructional goals and student learning outcomes and artificial intelligence. Including creating policies and procedures around this. Lead implementation of instructional technology initiatives that promote innovation, engagement, digital literacy, and effective instructional practices. Guide the integration of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), ensuring responsible, ethical, and effective use in educational settings. Collaborate with district and building leadership to align technology use with curriculum, instruction, and operational priorities. Promote equitable access to technology resources and digital learning opportunities for students and staff. Technology Committee Facilitation for both the district and the building level. Professional Development & Training Lead the design and delivery of professional development focused on educational technology, digital tools, cybersecurity awareness, and AI integration in instruction. Provide coaching, modeling, and ongoing support to educators and staff to strengthen technology integration practices. Develop training resources, workshops, and support materials tailored to district and staff needs. Train technology department staff and other district personnel to ensure operational continuity, cross-training, and redundancy of essential technology functions. Promote best practices in digital citizenship, responsible technology use, and data privacy for both staff and student. Technology Coordination, Support & Ticketing Coordinate the operation and maintenance of district technology systems, working with internal staff and external vendors as needed. Assist in monitoring system performance and resolving issues to ensure reliable access to technology resources. Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve technology support tickets, providing direct technical assistance to staff and students. Help prioritize and manage the technology ticket queue to ensure timely and effective service delivery. Development, Support, and implementation of system upgrades, device life-cycle and repair, inventory management, and district technology projects. Overseeing/facilitating technology surplus process. Verkada management. Emergency Systems & Safety Support Assist with technology-related emergency preparedness and response systems, including lockdown and safety communication systems. Maintain familiarity with district security camera systems, camera visibility coverage areas, and related operational procedures. Support district safety initiatives by assisting with technology systems utilized during emergency situations and school safety events. Collaborate with district administration and safety personnel to help ensure technology systems support emergency protocols and operational readiness. Cybersecurity & Digital Safety Support district cybersecurity practices, including data protection, user awareness, and adherence to established policies and procedures. Assist in promoting digital safety, privacy, acceptable use, and cybersecurity awareness among staff and students. Help coordinate training and awareness activities related to cybersecurity and data security best practices. Project Coordination Assist in coordinating technology initiatives, helping to track timelines, tasks, budgets, and deliverables. Support development of project documentation and communication related to district technology projects. Assist in evaluating technology systems and recommending improvements aligned with district goals. Supervision & Team Leadership Supervise and evaluate technology department employees in accordance with district policies and procedures. Provide guidance, direction, and day-to-day coordination of technology department staff. Support onboarding, mentoring, and professional growth of technology personnel. Foster a collaborative, customer service-oriented team environment focused on continuous improvement and responsiveness to district needs. Assist in establishing departmental procedures, expectations, and workflow priorities. Budgeting & Vendor Coordination Assist in monitoring technology-related expenditures, purchasing, and inventory management. Work with vendors to support service delivery, equipment procurement, maintenance, and issue resolution. Help identify cost-effective and sustainable technology solutions aligned with district needs and goals. This job description does not include every duty and responsibility. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Associate's degree in Information Technology, Educational Technology, or related field. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in information technology, educational technology, or a related field. Experience supporting or leading technology integration or professional development for staff. Experience of overseeing projects. Experience providing end-user technical support and troubleshooting technology issues. Basic understanding of technology systems and digital tools used in educational or organizational settings. Knowledge of general cybersecurity awareness and data privacy best practices. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to create digital workflows. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Educational Technology, or related field. Experience in K-12 educational environments. Experience leading professional development or training initiatives. Familiarity with emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence applications in education. Relevant certifications (e.g., Google, Microsoft, CompTIA, or similar).

Salary:
Salary is for the 2025-2026 school year. July 1st, 2026 the salary range will increase to $86,305 - $93,419.
Start Date:
As soon as possible; however, we are willing to work with the selected candidate based on their current employment commitments.
