Educational Technology Teaching and Learning Specialist Reports to: Executive Director of TechnologySupervises:
NoneQualifications:
Hold or be eligible for an Oklahoma teaching certificate. Masters degree preferred. Minimum three years of teaching experience. EdTech experience preferred. Satisfy all district requirements with regards to physical health and citizenship. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.Position Goals:
To strengthen technology use to support instruction. To assure consistent and coherent technology use at assigned sites. To model best practices in the classroom. To serve as a mentor and guide for teachers. To serve as a resource for gathering, assimilating, and disseminating instructional materials. To provide professional development for staff. To facilitate the implementation of curriculum and best instructional practices. To align district curriculum with the ISTE Standards for Students.Essential Functions and Responsibilities In The Following Categories:
Curriculum Development Member of district core curriculum committees. Identify and vett potential technology solutions for the district. Support educational technology components of district curriculum adoptions programs. Assist with the development of EdTech integration in the district continua that is aligned to the ISTE Standards for Students. Instructional Leadership Meet with the Coordinator of Educational Technology and the Director of Professional. Development on a regular basis for communication and planning. Meet with the site EdTech Site Leads on a regular basis and ensure effective communication is disseminated at assigned school sites. Ensure the effective implementation of the district's curriculum continua for technology integration. Develop peer coaching relationships by observing teachers and providing them with feedback and support for effective use of educational technology. Create learning resources for teachers, staff, and students. Assist with development of the District's technology plan. Professional Development Assist in the development and implementation of professional development. Model best instructional practices in classrooms at assigned sites. Collaborate with teachers to support their use of technology in delivery of curricula through a variety of instructional strategies. Provide professional development for staff regarding best instructional practices in educational technology. Assessment Assist with the implementation and facilitation of district assessments at assigned sites. Programs and Staff Assist in identifying and implementing educational technology for professional learning communities at assigned sites. Facilities/Resource Management Develop consistent district-wide standards for classroom technology resources. Assist EdTech Site Leads with ensuring classroom essential educational technology is identified, provided, and supported at assigned sites. Assist EdTech Leads and Reps with maintaining inventory of EdTech resources at assigned sites. Miscellaneous Performs such other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.Terms of Employment:
Nine (9) months a year. Salary, benefits, and work year to be established by the Board through the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Jenks Classroom Teachers Association.FLSA Qualification:
