Summary Join our team as an Egg Truck Driver and play a vital role in delivering quality from farm to facility. In this role, you will follow a routine route to pick up racks and boxes of eggs from designated breeder farms, replenish essential supplies, and safely transport eggs to the warehouse or hatchery. You'll be a trusted partner to our farm teams, helping ensure smooth operations, reliable delivery schedules, and the care and integrity of every load along the way. Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensures timely and accurate delivery of eggs according to dispatcher scheduling. Performs a pre-trip truck inspection according to a DOT sheet, reporting any deficiencies to proper fleet mechanics. Ensures accurate recordkeeping of fuel purchases, trip tickets, daily logs and time sheets. Minimum Education and Experience High School or equivalent. Class B Commercial driver's license. 2+ years commercial driving. Reading, writing and math skills. Preferred Education and Experience Class A driver's license is preferred. Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors Exposed to both seasonal weather and climate-controlled conditions and various chemicals and disinfectants to be covered in MSDS Training. Must be able to push and pull up to 1200 lbs a distance of 90 feet. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs with a significant amount of bending, twisting and stepping. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the company. Perdue Farms Inc. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
