EI Resource Classroom (1 Position) And any positions that result from the filling of this posting.
QUALIFICATIONS
Michigan Special Education Teacher Certification (SE Certification), EI Endorsement Experience with in a resource room required, experience in a self contained classroom preferred Experience with students with emotional impairments Must meet
MCL 380.1531
& Administrative Rules Governing the Certification of MI Teachers Other requirements as determined by the
Lincoln Park Board of Education DUTIES:
Adapting, accommodating, and modifying the general education curricula, pedagogy, and learning environments for students. Aligning and adapting the student's program with the general education curriculum Developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized behavior management strategies and plans. Must prepare and implement behavior plans based upon functional behavioral assessments. Participate in/facilitate Wraparound Meetings Using a range of curriculum guides to assist with identifying functional goals. Employing current assessment instruments and approaches, intervention methodologies, strategies, and techniques that are appropriate for students linking assessment outcomes to curriculum planning. Ability to complete records in a timely manner Possess skills to communicate to all members of the school & community Be able to meet the physical and mental demands of the teaching profession and the position Philosophy in accord with Lincoln Park Public Schools Able to work cooperatively Ability to follow requirements of supervisors Classroom instruction and instructional leader for meeting the needs of Special Education students Other duties as required by Executive Director of Special Education and Building Principal
