Role:
The Community School at Cape Cod Tech is seeking an Electrical Code and Theory Instructor to prepare apprentices for the Massachusetts Journeyman License Examination. This required coursework is essential for students to advance in the trade—your instruction directly helps them become licensed electricians.
Responsibilities:
Instruction:
Teach electrical apprentices using the 2026 National Electrical Code Book and the approved Mike Holt curriculum through in-person lectures, interactive classroom sessions, and practice tests.
Student Engagement:
Foster an engaging and interactive learning environment. Utilize diverse teaching methods to cater to various learning styles and ensure student comprehension and retention of material.
Attendance Tracking:
Monitor and record student attendance to maintain accurate, timely records.
Schedule:
Timing:
Two evenings a week (Monday and Wednesday) for 3 hours per night.
Duration:
Starting in September 2026 and ending mid April 2027 for a total of 75 hours (25 classes).
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years as a Journeyman Electrician (Preferred).
License:
Current Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician license. Benefits of the
