Job Description

Job Summary The Electrical Engineer provides engineering & project management services for the entire manufacturing operation. PLC Programming, HMI & operator display programmining, AC/DC Drive configurations, calculate project cost estimates, design of drawing packages & specifications, contractor and equipment bids and selection, purchase requisitions, project cost accounti9ng, scheduling, oversight of projects, troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, electrical maintenance in support of production & facilities.
Primary Responsibilty:
Maintain & Troubleshoot manufacturing automation systems, including but not limited to PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems(pls messaging, middleware, and SQL) Modifying and testing manufacutring process equipment; consulting with equipment vendors Maintain and troubleshoot various types of automation instrumentation and devices such as servo drives, variable frequency drives, barcode/RFID readrs, and I/O Assist other IS members in the development of systems solutions Assist in troubleshooting connectivity and reliability issues which affect the collection of process data
Knowledge:
Knowledge of or willingness to learn interfacing with other business systems, such as ERP or MES. Knowledge of or willingness to learn configuration, testing, and debugging to support the organization's MES system
Competencies:
Managing people- includes staff in planning, decision making, facilitaing and process improvement, takes responsibuilty for subordinates activities, makes self-available to staff Provides regular performace feedback, develops subordinates skills and encourages growth Solicits and applies customer feedback(internal and external) Improves proccesses, products and services Job requirements and qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or automation engineering technology or equivalent 5-7 years of experience in industrial electricity and controls A full understanding of analog, digital, and logic circuits Experience in installing and troubleshooting PLC's, variable frequency drives, and power distribution Experience with PLC programming, HMI, OPC, and SCADA Systems Preffered but not required is having experience or understanding of
MES and Historian Pay:
$90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
