Position Overview Sugar Refineries is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and oversee electrical and instrumentation upgrades across multiple sites. This role includes auditing facility equipment, ensuring compliance with electrical standards, and enhancing system reliability. The position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager and works closely with plant personnel and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Lead electrical and instrumentation projects from design to execution. Use computer-assisted design (AutoCAD) and engineering software for system planning and documentation. Collaborate with engineers, plant personnel, and vendors for troubleshooting and future projects. Ensure compliance with electrical and instrumentation standards, codes, and specifications. Conduct inspections and tests to verify equipment and system safety and reliability. Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and specifications for equipment purchases. Supervise and mentor plant personnel and project teams. Estimate materials, labor, and construction costs for capital projects and budgets. Diagnose and resolve electrical problems, including PLC, MCC, and switchboard systems. Develop and test electrical prototypes and implement necessary modifications. Requirements BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited school. 10+ years of industrial Electrical Engineering experience. Expertise in medium and low voltage systems (12470V to 24V). Knowledge of
NEC, NFPA
70E, and electrical engineering codes. Experience with PLC cabinets, MCC, and switchboards. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills. Alignment with
