Job Description

About the
Role:
As an Electrical Estimator, you'll support the development of accurate estimates and competitive bid proposals across a variety of construction projects. Working alongside project managers, field leaders, vendors, and the estimating team, you'll help review project documents, perform takeoffs, gather pricing, and support the bidding process from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to continue building their experience within the electrical construction industry. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of projects while working closely with experienced leaders who are committed to supporting your growth and development.
What You'll Do:
Project Review & Estimating Support:
Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to understand project scope and requirements Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with developing accurate project estimates Support the preparation of budgets, pricing summaries, and bid documentation Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks to better understand project conditions and scope requirements Help identify scope gaps, potential risks, and cost considerations during the estimating process
Bid Coordination:
Assist with preparing and distributing Invitations to Bid to subcontractors and suppliers Gather, review, and organize subcontractor and vendor pricing Support bid day activities by compiling and reviewing proposal information to help ensure accurate and timely submissions Assist with assembling bid packages and supporting documentation
Vendor & Subcontractor Communication:
Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain pricing and project information Help maintain strong working relationships with external partners and internal teams Assist with reviewing subcontractor quotes for scope alignment and completeness
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with estimating, project management, field operations, accounting, and leadership teams throughout the preconstruction process Support estimating efforts across a variety of project types and delivery methods Participate in team discussions regarding project approach, constructability, and project execution and considerations
Continuous Improvement:
Support ongoing improvements to estimating processes, tools, and documentation practices Continue developing industry knowledge, estimating skills, and understanding of construction operations
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in construction required; electrical preferred
Understanding of:
Construction practices Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications Quantity takeoffs and construction estimating concepts Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating/takeoff software such as Bluebeam, McCormick, ProEst, or similar tools Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple estimates in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow within the role Strong communication and collaboration skills
